Grand Forks businesses that hold a liquor license may find it a little harder to renew their licenses.

A committee is now reviewing the current ordinance and making sure its followed. The rules could be getting more strict and they are looking into having a new online application that would have to be turned in a month earlier. Once your application expires you will no longer be able to sell liquor. When the changes are made the committee says they will not get lax on these new changes.

Curt KreunGRAND FORKS CITY COUNCIL: "There is going to be over site are we are beginning to monitor these so it dosent get legged behind as it has in the past. I appreciate the License holders you both worked together to make this happen."

Also the city is going to improve its crosswalk signals. The Department of transportation is requiring the city to put in new count down traffic signals by December of 2013.
