EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings say they are relieved to see the lockout come to a close and plan on heading to Mankato for training camp again this year.

The Vikings originally said a deal had to be in place a week ago for them to have enough time to get everything in place at Minnesota State in Mankato, about 80 miles southwest of Minneapolis. But as the two sides got closer to a deal, they held off on making a decision in hopes of being able to hold it on campus for the 46th straight season.

Training camp in Mankato allows the team to open the practices up to fans. Camp will begin on Sunday.
