BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Gov. Jack Dalrymple says the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has not adequately answered questions about their management of the Missouri River leading up to the 2011 flood in North Dakota.
The Bismarck Tribune reports that Dalrymple met with top corps official on Tuesday at the North Dakota Capitol.
Dalrymple says the corps needs to better explain how it prioritizes flood control on the Missouri River.
The governor says the state will develop and present the corps with an official inquiry.
Corps officials have defended their management of the system.
