The farming and ranching industries are constantly changing and improving, and sometimes the best way to keep up is for farmers and ranchers to learn from each other. More than 25 farmers and ranchers met in Bisbee to learn more about cover crops. They heard from NDSU Extension Agents and Natural Resources Conservation Service representatives. People who farm or ranch in the area also talked about different methods they've tried and what worked for them.

Matt Tastad: "We've been able to actually double-crop some of our land by harvesting a forage crop, seeding a cover crop cocktail on it and then grazing that in the fall."

Producers also focused on building soil health and dealing with soil salinity.
