St. Michael, ND, Man Pleads Guilty to Post Office Theft

A St. Michael man has pleaded guilty to breaking into a post office on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A St. Michael man has pleaded guilty to breaking into a post office on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation.

Authorities say 30-year-old Kalum Joshua Yankton pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of burglary of a post

office and conspiracy to convert stolen money orders.

Authorities say Yankton broke into the post office and stole the money orders in May 2010.

Sentencing is set for Oct. 6. He faces up to 10 years in federal prison.
