Body Found in Crookston Woods

Authorities in Crookston Monday afternoon found a body in the woods between Wildwood Park and the Red Lake River, the Crookston Times reported.
The body was found around noon Monday. It was placed in a body bag, loaded into a Polk County Sheriff's Office truck and driven away.
Crookston Police Chief Tim Motherway said the incident was not a drowning and it appeared the man committed suicide.
Motherway said the department is waiting to notify family before identifying the man. More information should be released Tuesday.
