Teams from around the world tested their aerial robotics skills at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center on Thursday.

Twelve teams from twelve colleges took part in the Aerial Robotics Competition.

Teams had to program an unmanned aerial system to fly through a makeshift building, drop off a USB drive and grab a new drive without hitting certain lasers.

"We love to make electronics and mechanics, put together with a lot of control and programming. So we enjoy it very much," Chilean competitor Linus Casassa said.

No team has ever completed the task and each year the prize money increases.

This year's prize was $20,000.
