Cassie Walder

Cassie is a Brookings, S.D. native who joined WDAZ during the spring of 2001. As News Director she takes great pride in running the WDAZ newsroom. She has her Broadcast Journalism degree from South Dakota State University.

Her television career includes work for South Dakota Public Television, and Sioux Falls-based KELO-TV, where she was a reporter-photographer during college. Cassie is also the station's assignment editor and co-anchors WDAZ News at 6 and 10 with Milo Smith.

As News Director she is also the station's daily Assignment Editor.

Thompson Bridge To Close Sept. 7

The Thompson Bridge will close for about a month while contractors align the new bridge over the Red River. The closure starts September 7th, and will reopen October 1.

A long-time Grand Forks businessman has passed away. Judd Sondreal, owner and president of McKinnon Company Incorporated based in Grand Forks died at his Bemidji lake home at age 45.
