Milo Smith

Milo co-anchors WDAZ News at 6 and 10. In addition to his on-air duties, Milo is the producer for the six o'clock and 10 o'clock newscasts.

He is a North Dakota native whose first job in broadcasting was as a part-time DJ at the AM radio station in Bowman, N.D. while he was in high school. Milo went on to receive a degree in Broadcast Journalism from NDSU.

He joined WDAZ in 1996 after working in TV news in North Dakota and Washington state. Milo was a key contributor to WDAZ's national Edward R. Murrow award-winning effort during the 1997 Red River flood. Milo's work as an anchor and producer of WDAZ News at 6 has garnered several state and regional awards over the years.

Milo teaches classes in UND's School of Communication and is on the Board of Directors of the Grand Forks YMCA.
