People of flood-threatened Cavalier are breathing a sigh of relief. Residents will be able to return home after 7:00 tomorrow morning. They've been under a mandatory evacuation since Tuesday night.

ND higher education board revises tuition plan

The state Board of Higher Education has revised a tuition rate plan that had been in place only a few weeks. The board approved a plan earlier this month allows colleges the option of increasing tuition at various rates, from 2.13 percent at Lake Region State College to 6.63 percent at Williston State.

A 7-year-old boy was struck by a car Wednesday just as school concluded for the day. Police, EMTs and witnesses surrounded the victim, who was placed on a body board before being loaded onto a stretcher in the ambulance.
