Two days of heavy rains has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a flood warning for Walsh County until 1:00 tomorrow afternoon. Flood problems are mounting across much of northeastern North Dakota after nearly five inches of rain fell near Park River in the past 24 hours.

Elderly couple killed in Park River house fire
A house fire was reported at 117 Regina Ave in Park River at approximately 10:23 Thursday evening. The owners of the home, 83-year-old Margaret and her husband 89-year-old Norman Winther, were found inside, deceased.
