It's the calm before the storm but this weekend daytime high temperatures are expected to be almost 30 degrees warmer than it has been. That means the snow pack will likely melt at a rapid rate and people in the northern valley will start to see river levels begin to rise.

Grand Forks teen to undergo surgery for rare disorder
Today was the last day of school for a very special Red River High School Student. 15-year-old Hannah Twedt will miss the rest of the year to under go a spinal surgery in the Twin Cities. Hannah was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that has required numerous surgeries.
