Diversion legislation set for discussion in ND Senate
North Dakota Sen. John Hoeven says the federal legislation that includes authorization for a Red River diversion project should reach the Senate in a week or so. The 36-mile channel would move water around Fargo and would protect the metropolitan area in times of serious flooding.

Park District to decide Springfest's fate at Tuesday meeting

The North Dakota Emergency Commission has approved additional funding to fight expected spring flooding. The commission agreed to accept loan proceeds from the Bank of North Dakota that would provide a total of 775,000 dollars to the National Guard, Civil Air Patrol and Department of Emergency Services.
