On an A-F grading scale, Altru Hospital gets a D in patient safety, according to a national survey. The Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit that focuses on health care transparency, led the survey of more than 2,500 hospitals. The hospital scored high in the number of patient falls and inpatient deaths.

The Habitat for Humanity got a hand from the Grand Forks Fire Department today. Habitat for Humanity builds homes for families in need. Andria Ruud and her three children are the first to receive a habitat home for 2013. The fire department spent eight hours today putting together Ruuds home. They plan on bringing in more members throughout the building process.

A northwest Minnesota couple faces felony drug charges after fleeing police during a downtown Grand Forks traffic stop. 24-year-old Nick Schouviller of Fosston and 20-year-old Peyton Stuhaug of McIntosh were stopped May 29th on Demers Avenue after a witness reported a "domestic disturbance" inside their vehicle.
