As Grafton residents prepare for more rain, there's still major clean up happening from the last bout. Nearly 80 percent of homes in Grafton have some sort of damage, from water saturating basements to cracked foundations.
The city of Grafton has announced an emergency declaration for the second time this spring. 500 homes have been affected by some kind of water in Grafton and as the rain stops residents can finally finish cleaning up.
Sump pumps in thousands of basements continue to run in Northeastern North Dakota as more rain hits the region. One of the hardest hit towns is Grafton, where it's estimated half of the basements had at least some level of water in their basement.
