Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- It didn't really feel like Christmas for some of us. We had no snow on the ground and near record high temperatures. But one Grand Forks family made the best of this brown Christmas.
Gas prices are on the rise as the Labor Day Weekend approaches, and it's affecting some travel plans. A lot of travelers say the high gas prices have taken a big chunk out of their wallets. Some people are choosing to stay in town this weekend and others just aren't traveling as far.
A storm that promised to bring a white Christmas to much of the Midwest had dumped 9 inches of snow in Iowa by Friday morning and was moving east, where a rare bit of holiday snow was expected as far south as Atlanta.
Actor Josh Duhamel and his pop star wife, Fergie, of the Black Eyed Peas, will be spending Christmas in Fargo with Duhamel's father, Larry. Josh was raised in Minot, but his parents have since divorced and his father relocated to the Fargo area.
