Road and street crews have been out since last night preparing for this weekend's expected snowfall. Officials are hoping streets won't be as slippery as they were last week when Grand Forks had roughly two inches of snow. This time around forecasters are expecting double that amount.
The high snow totals in the mid-1990s and during the past few winters have pushed our 30-year seasonal snowfall average to 50.1 inches. That is the highest 30-year average since records have been kept.
