A record low in Grand Forks Wednesday morning following the blizzard that dropped nearly a foot of snow in some places. People are still digging their way out of the snow, and trying to stay safe on icy roads.
After the worst snow storm of the season, it's dig-out day, a foot or more of snow fell in many places around the region. Whether it was shoveling the driveway or digging out the car, many people had their work cut out for them.
Road and street crews have been out since last night preparing for this weekend's expected snowfall. Officials are hoping streets won't be as slippery as they were last week when Grand Forks had roughly two inches of snow. This time around forecasters are expecting double that amount.
