Aviation professionals from all over the region met Monday at the The North Dakota Aviation Council Upper Midwest Aviation Symposium. Its an annual event that allows those in the industry to exchange information and ideas.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and the North Dakota Highway Patrol have CLOSED the I-29 northbound and southbound lanes at 2 p.m. from the Canadian border to the South Dakota border due to high winds causing areas of zero visibility and hazardous travel conditions.
Base officials say Tech Sgt. Jason Mower died Saturday when the canoe he was in overturned on Lake Metigoshe. Another airman in the canoe surfaced but Mower did not. His body was recovered Sunday morning.
