Board Takes No Action On Nickname
The Fighting Sioux nickname and logo was not retired at a state board of higher education meeting today but board members say its seems imminent.
It will remain in place at least for another month.

Tomorrow the state board of higher education will meet and again the Sioux nickname will be the focus. Last month a motion was made to retire the name. With more members leaning toward this than in the past, tomorrow could be a pivotal day for the names future.

Spirit Lake Opponents Hoping For New Nickname Vote
Sioux Nickname opponents on the Spirit Lake reservation are circulating a petition with hopes of reversing a resolution that gives UND perpetual use of the Fighting Sioux Nickname and logo. Tomorrow they will make a presentation at the State Board of Higher Education Meeting.

Northland Community and Technical college is joining in the Unmanned Aerial Systems craze that's caught the attention of UND, the Border patrol and the Air Force Base.

EGF Schools Still Recovering From Computer Crash
