A Cokato man sentenced to prison for an August 2012 crash that killed three people east of Willmar was ordered Tuesday to pay more than $37,000 in restitution to the victims’ survivors and their insurance company.
Expansion of a CHS Inc. facility in Larimore, N.D., is causing a border dispute between a neighboring property owner and the company. The controversy centers on a piece of land on the southeast corner of the Larimore Municipal Airport and the use of a roadway running through the property.
Minnesota hunters bagged fewer deer this year. Through the beginning of December, firearms hunters harvested 144,000 deer, a 6 percent drop from 2012. Preliminary numbers for the late season in southeastern Minnesota show hunters harvested about 600 fewer deer than last year.
