Behind an incredible game from Alex Weston, North Star knocked off Four Winds-Minnewaukan in the Region 4 Championship, 65-64 in double overtime, to advance to the North Dakota Class B boys basketball tournament.
The Grafton baseball team is headed back to the North Dakota Class B baseball tournament. The Spoilers were runner-ups the past two seasons. Grafton plays Minot Bishop Ryan in the late game on Thursday in Mandan.
Thompson and Mayport-CG were both victorious Monday evening in the North Dakota Class B Region 2 girls basketball tournament. The Tommies and Patriots will now do battle with a trip to the region championship on the line. Tip-off is scheduled for 25 minutes after the Grafton and Hillsboro-Central Valley game is concluded.
Grafton and Hillsboro-Central Valley both advanced Monday in the North Dakota Class B Region 2 girls basketball tournament. The Spoilers and Burros now meet in a semifinal contest with a trip to the region championship on the line. Tip-off at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center is set for 6:00 p.m.
