Workers at the five American Crystal Sugar processing plants up and down the valley will vote soon on an amended contract offer. That vote will take place on November 1st, just 90 days after the workers were first locked out.
The St. Paul native will get $184 million. The deal covers the 2011-2018 seasons and is the fourth largest both in total value and average salary in major league history. Starting next season, Mauer will make $23 million a year. The deal also includes a full no-trade clause.
