MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The wife of a former Minnesota Vikings tearfully told jurors Monday at her fatal hit-and-run trial that she thought she hit a construction barrel or a pothole, not a person, the night of the accident.
Hermantown police are looking for the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed an 84-year-old man. Police say Laurence Sundquist apparently was trying to get a newspaper from a roadside box when he was struck.
A judge has declared a mistrial in a fatal hit-and-run case in Apple Valley.
Dakota County Judge David Knutson declared the mistrial Thursday after the jury deadlocked.
