Minto attempts world record chili feed
Minto residents are hoping to break a world record this weekend -- in the form of chili. The first ever Pot of Chili event starts Friday night and goes through Saturday night. They are hoping to cook one ton of chili, which would make it the largest pot of chili ever cooked.

Still no news for family of man swept away by flood waters
It's been more than six weeks since 55 year old Guy Miller was swept away by high water near Minto. His body has not yet been recovered. Tonight, we hear from his family for the first time.

Altru receives poor safety scores, officials cite old data
On an A-F grading scale, Altru Hospital gets a D in patient safety, according to a national survey. The Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit that focuses on health care transparency, led the survey of more than 2,500 hospitals. The hospital scored high in the number of patient falls and inpatient deaths.

Demolition prep beings at old Ralph Engelstad Arena
It's out with the old, in with the new for UND. Prep work has begun to demolish the former Ralph Englestad Arena. Once the building is torn down by the end of summer, a 20 million dollar indoor practice facility will take its place.

Clear Lake, Minn man killed in road construction accident
A 58-year-old construction worker from Clear Lake, Minnesota, died while on the job this morning. The accident happened at a road construction site just off I-29 near Manvel. Highway Patrol officers say the yet unnamed man was operating a concrete grinder just before he was killed around 8:00 this morning.

Shirvani calls critics racist, says he "never should have moved to North Dakota"
Just one day after accepting a contract buyout, Hamid Shirvani calls his critics racist and says he wishes he never moved to North Dakota. The University System Chancellor says he should've left in March but that that was his second mistake. He says his first mistake was taking the job in the first place.
