4 Escape Mentor, MN, House Fire
MENTOR, MN (WDAZ-TV) - Four people were able to escape a house fire in Mentor on Sunday by climbing through a window. The Polk County Sheriff's Office says the fire was reported at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at 17550 320th St. SE. in Mentor.

WDAZ Viewer Photos Show Tornado Hitting Mentor
A WDAZ viewer took pictures and video of the tornado that hit Mentor, MN Thursday night as it approached Maple Lake. In photos submitted to WDAZ, the viewer describes the tornado as it came through Maple Bay on the south side of Maple Lake, then hitting the Polk County Park and then Mentor and the Mentor C-Store. We talk to the viewer tonight on WDAZ news.

Friday Update: Extensive Tornado Damage around Maple Lake
Clean-up is starting today in Mentor, MN and around Maple Lake. Docks are twisted, pontoons thrown in trees and debris strewn in the lake. Some cabins also suffered damage, in addition to the destroyed C-Store gas station in Mentor where station owner Wesley Michaels died. Three others were injured. Man Killed In Mentor Tornado Identified
The Polk County Sheriff's Department has released the names of Thursday night's tornado victims in the Mentor, Minn. area.
Wesley Michaels of Mentor was pronounced dead at the scene.
