The latest survey of Minnesota's moose, released last month, brought more bad news. The population of Minnesota moose, perhaps the most iconic of all north woods creatures, had dropped again. The population has been declining for several years, but recent developments are cause for more concern.
A Grand Forks man spotted this moose south of Grand Forks on Columbia road Thursday night about 7:30. Don Kramer says it was in the vacinity of the King's Walk Golf Course. This is a photo of the moose taken with Kramer's cell phone. Kramer says the moose appeared to be young.
