There's a strong mix of reactions since we first reported Altru Hospital's low safety grade from a national survey. Altru's letter grade is a "D". The Leapfrog Group issued the report, ranking Altru in the bottom 10 percent of 2,500 hospitals studied.
Every summer, heartbreaking and preventable deaths happen when children are left in hot cars. So far this year 11 children have died after being left in a car nationwide. Reporter Danielle Miller shows us just how fast a car can heat up.
On an A-F grading scale, Altru Hospital gets a D in patient safety, according to a national survey. The Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit that focuses on health care transparency, led the survey of more than 2,500 hospitals. The hospital scored high in the number of patient falls and inpatient deaths.
As children hit up homes in their neighborhood tonight for candy, local law enforcement stresses children, parents and drivers all take extra precaution. Sidewalks will be full of kids in costumes, creating the possibility of chaos.

The Department of Transportation says there have been a lot of accidents between vehicles and snow plows this winter. In 2010, 103 accidents were reported in Minnesota involving drivers and snow plows. There have already been 76 in 2011 so far.
