The ever-controversial Springfest received the "go-ahead" from the Park District this morning. Park officials were worried the ground at University Park could be destroyed if the event continued on snow and damp grass.
The Grand Forks Park District will decide Tuesday whether to allow Springfest at University Park. By then, park officials should be able to determine if the park will be able to handle the 3,000-plus people who attend the annual, unofficial celebration of the end of the UND school year.
GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - The University of North Dakota's biggest student party, SpringFest, got underway Saturday afternoon. The party is supposed to be an end of the year celebration with music and fun, but some celebrations got a little out of control.
