GRAND FORKS, ND (WDAZ-TV) - For the sixth year in a row WDAZ is partnering with United Way's Toys for Tots program, and we need your help this year more than ever.

WDAZ will be collecting new, unwrapped toys outside of our station at 2220 South Washington Street in Grand Forks to donate to children in need.

United Way says they plan on helping more families this year than they did last year. Over 300 families and nearly 600 kids are already signed up to receive gifts. Families can still sign up until Wednesday, November 30.

"A major thank you to the community and WDAZ and Whalen's and everyone for helping out and supporting the program year after year,” said Lisa Martinez of United Way. “I know a lot of community members aren't able to see the families and children, but I do want you to know they are incredibly grateful. Lots of smiles and happy tears."

WDAZ will be accepting donations at the big Whalen's truck in front of the station during regular business hours - Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. - beginning November 28th and ending on December 8th.
