UPDATE: Police have now confirmed that a man originally reported to be armed with knives in the Grand Cities Mall was suicidal and was holding a pair of scissors. Police entered Hope Church, found the man and he went with them voluntarily.

The Highway Patrol says the accident happened shortly after 7:00 just north of the 32nd Avenue Interchange in the northbound lane. A patrol officer had stopped to help a vehicle that had gone into the ditch.
