Serious injury ATV crash reportedly caused by drunk driving

Walsh County, N.D. (WDAY/WDAZ-TV) - Alcohol is said to be involved in an ATV crash that seriously injured a man in Walsh County.

Highway Patrol says 38-year-old Christopher Bata of Adams was driving near Highway 35 around 1:30 Sunday morning.

He was on ice-covered dirt and was thrown off his four-wheeler.

He was taken to a hospital in Park River with what's described as significant injuries.

He was not wearing a helmet and was also cited for DUI.
