Man with medical condition leads police on a chase along Highway 10
(WDAY/WDAZ) - A man led deputies on a chase along Highway 10 Wednesday morning.
A call came in around 6:00 a.m. of a driver going the wrong way in Glyndon.
A witness says the driver hit curbs and came close to hitting another vehicle.
Deputies followed the subject, and say he also ran a red light.
Authorities then tried to stop the man with stop sticks, but he continued.
Police were eventually able to stop him with a pit maneuver.
Lieutenant Mark Empting of the Clay County Sheriff's Office says the chase didn't hit high speeds and remained between 25 to 40 miles per hour.
The chase ended in Moorhead close to the Taco Johns on 8th Street.
The driver fought with officers, but once under control, he was treated by F-M Ambulance.
An officer and the driver both received minor injuries.
Authorities say the man had a medical condition.
He was not arrested.
