LINTON, N.D.—One North Dakota rancher is getting a very special gift this weekend.

Doug Beakler from Linton was injured in a farm accident in June that caused him to lose his arm.

After the accident, friends and family from all across the state banded together and decided to spend this weekend working on his ranch.

They put their skills and tools to good use mending fences, building a chicken coop and doing general maintenance to help Doug out.

"You get it done with friends and family and that's all these guys here a lot of friends a lot of family are here to help support Doug and Maria and get a lot of work done," said Michael Bichler, Brother.

Friends and family say helping out each other is just part of the agricultural community.
