Labor Day travel
Today is Labor Day, marking the unofficial end of summer.
And, if you're one of the millions of Americans who hit the road for the long weekend, you may want to pack your patience as you travel back home.
Some of Highway 10 is under construction and it could take longer to get back home from the lake or cabin.
According to a recent survey by Trip Advisor, 34% of Americans travel over Labor Day weekend.
27% headed to the beach, 25% wanted a getaway city, and 11% planned to visit a national park.
Fargo cone zones
While Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, it doesn't quite mark the end of construction season.
Several new projects will be hitting Fargo starting tomorrow.
Crews will be working on 19th Ave. N. to install new utilities from 45th St. N. to 57th St. N.
25th St. and 13th Ave. will be under construction while crews repair the pavement.
And finally, the median area of Main Ave. between 2nd St. S. and 4th St. S. will be reduced to one lane while crews work on roadway construction and underground utility work.
Sonic opens today
People in Grand Forks have a new place to grab some lunch, and it could be for free.
Sonic is opening today.
Crews have been working on the drive-in restaurant since April.
Last week the fast-food joint had a soft opening for a few hours.
The first 5 customers that use the stall service today will receive free Sonic for a year.
