CROOKSTON, Minn.—A North Dakota woman is in jail after leading officers on a high speed chase through Polk County.

Authorities say they tried to pull over a 33-year-old woman on Saturday on County Road 9, just west of Crookston.

That's when the vehicle took off at speeds up to 99 miles per hour.

State troopers deployed spike strips to slow down the car.

Police then arrested the driver, Jeannie Wright, from Burlington, North Dakota.

Wright is charged with fleeing a police officer, fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and drug paraphernalia.

No one was injured in the pursuit.
