Fatal Crash Involving a Semi-Truck Near Edgeley

Edgeley, ND-- A man is dead after a crash involving a semi-truck at 3:53 p.m. Thursday northeast of Edgeley.

The semi-truck was driving eastbound on Lamoure County Road 34 and was carrying a trailer full of corn.

A Chevrolet Blazer was traveling southbound on 85th Ave SE and continued through an intersection where it was hit by the semi-truck.

The semi-truck entered the south ditch where it rolled and came to a rest on the drivers side, while the blazer went into the north ditch where it also rolled and ended up on its wheels.

The driver of the semi-truck, a 41-year-old male from Stirum, ND was taken to Jamestown Regional Medical Center and treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the blazer, a 79-year-old man from Monango, ND died as a result from his injuries.

Names of the drivers have not yet been released. The crash is still under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
