Dozens brave cold temps for fun at annual Greenway Ski Day
GRAND FORKS—While it was a bit chilly and windy, many still braved the elements to hit the ski trails in Grand Forks on Saturday at the annual Greenway Ski Day at Lincoln Drive Park.
Dozens of families bundled up to hit for the event.
The Grand Forks Parks District teamed up with the Ski and Bike shop also give free ski clinics.
You could rent gear like snowshoes and skates at no cost.
Another bonus was free chili and hot chocolate served inside of the warming house.
"It continues to grow every year. We get 100-150 new skiers a year, and it's something when we have the conditions right, it's very good," said Terry Knudson, Ski and Bike Shop.
The Greenway Ski Day has been put on annually for the last 20 years to inspire families to get outside and be active in the winter.
