WEST FARGO POLICE RESPOND TO REPORT OF WOMAN WITH A GUN

A West Fargo neighborhood was blocked off for nearly an hour this morning after a call of a distrubance with a firearm.

It happened on Center Street just north of Main Avenue around 2:00 this morning. Police got a call about an intoxicated woman who may have shot a gun in her apartment. Once on scene, police set up a perimeter. By about 3:30 police were able to take the woman down and get her to a squad car. Police say she may have been suicidal and are still investigating to see if actual shots were fired, but do not know as of yet. Police are also crediting a neighbor that the woman knew with helping to intervene. The woman was alone at the time. She has been taken in for an evaluation. Nobody was injured.

VANDALS DAMAGE HOMES AROUND EAGLE LAKE

Vandals damaged 20 homes and a handful of ice houses on Eagle Lake.

The Sheriff's Department said there was an overnight break-in spree Wednesday into Thursday. Some belongings were taken, but authorities say the mission behind the spree was vandalism. In one home, a TV was even shot with a BB gun. Cabin owners on the lake say they're taking extra precautions and keeping a close eye on the neighborhood. Eight other burglaries happened on South Turtle Lake in Otter Tail. The Sheriff's department says the burglars used break-in 'methods' and the two sprees may be connected.

OFFICERS ON ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE IDENTIFIED

We now know the names of two Clay County deputies involved in a shooting over the weekend.

The B.C.A. has identified them as Deputy Ryan Sinclair and Sergeant Gabriel Tweten. They are both on administrative leave. They responded to reports of a suicidal man in a Sabin neighborhood Saturday night. Reports said they found 19-year-old Brady Adrian holding a knife inside his bedroom. They said Adrian ignored commands to drop the knife, then hit Sergeant Tweten, took his taser, and fired it at Deputy Sinclair. That's when Sinclair shot Adrian. Adrian was taken to the hospital for treatment, then transferred to the Clay County Jail. He's expected to face assault charges.
