Driver hurt and cited for DUI after a hitting car then building in Grand Forks
Grand Forks, ND-- A person is in the hospital and facing charges after driving drunk and hitting a car then a building in Grand Forks.
Grand Forks Police say they got a call just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday for a report of multiple motor vehicle crashes in the area of 300 1st Ave N.
Officers arrived on the scene and found a black Chevy Silverado that was still in contact with a building on the 300 block of 1st Ave N. The driver was no longer in the vehicle, but was found and taken to Altru Hospital for unknown injuries.
During further investigation it was discovered that the Silverado had also hit a parked vehicle in the area as well.
The driver was issued a citation for driving under the influence and charges are being forwarded to the city prosecuter for driving under suspension and leaving the scene of the crash.
No other injuries were reported.
