Three Arrested Near Fargo After Reported Assault, Robbery in Grand Forks Tuesday

Three people were arrested after a woman reported she was assaulted and robbed in Grand Forks last night.

The suspects were arrested by the Highway Patrol in Cass County for several charges including possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon. Officers responded to a robbery call at 212 North 9th Street in Grand Forks at about 9pm. When officers arrived the woman told police she had been assaulted and robbed by two men she met earlier in the night. Based on the victim's description of the men and the car they were driving, the Patrol pulled over the two male robbery suspects and a female.

35-year-old William Meadows, 24-year-old Semereab Tesfaye and 26-year-old Kia Yang were each arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana. Evidence linking the suspects to the robbery was also located during the traffic stop. Robbery, assault and terrorizing charges in Grand Forks are still pending.
