Police arrest Fargo man for breaking into Moorhead woman's home
MOORHEAD - A Fargo man suspected of crawling through a window into a south Moorhead home was arrested and cited for misdemeanor trespassing and disorderly conduct early Friday morning, Jan. 26, Moorhead police reported.
Zachary Payne, 29, was taken to the Clay County Jail, cited, and then released, police reported.
According to the report:
At 1:06 a.m., officers were sent to the area of 8th Avenue South and 3rd Street on a call that a man had crawled into the window of a woman’s home, then fled after she confronted him.
A perimeter was set up with the aid of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and officers began to track the suspect.
Payne was found near the intersection of 6th Avenue South and Woodlawn Drive. His shoes matched prints left at the scene of the woman’s home.
