Police searching for man suspected of armed robbery of KFC in Grand Forks

GRAND FORKS - Police were called at 9:47 p.m. on Sunday, March 11 with a report of a robbery at the KFC fast food restaurant in Grand Forks at 706 S Washington St.

Authorities say a man went into the restaurant, showed an employee a handgun and demanded money. The employee handed over cash and then the man left on foot heading west. Police are not saying how much money was taken. No one was injured and the handgun was not fired.

Officers searched the area but were unsuccessful in finding the suspect. The suspect is described as six feet tall, 200 pounds, wearing a black hoodie with camoflauge lettering and a black ski mask.
