Local employers discuss how drugs affect their staff
GRAND FORKS, ND (WDAZ)--After opioids send hundreds to the emergency room last year -- local employers are discussing how deadly drugs affect their staff.
People representing 40 employers in Grand Forks are meeting tomorrow at the Chamber of Commerce for a seminar called "addiction at work."
The managers come from both big and small businesses around town.
They're hoping to better understand addiction, define successful recovery, and recognize their role in helping their staff's health.
“This is going to be an opportunity I think for we business people to learn a little bit more about what we can do to make a positive impact in our employees lives,” said Chamber of Commerce President, Barry Wilfahrt.
Spots in the seminar are currently full.
