Two taken to hospital after rollover crash south of Grand Forks

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) - Two people were taken to Altru Hospital after a rollover crash south of Grand Forks Saturday evening.

A blue Ford pickup was overturned in the ditch at 62nd Avenue South and South Washington Street, and a black Chevy SUV was facing north in the ditch a few hundred feet away. The wreck was called in at 5:35 p.m.

Sgt. Kevin Kallinen of the Grand Forks Police Department said an officer was at the hospital interviewing people, so a description of the events that led to the crash may not be available until later.

The extent of any injuries was also unknown Saturday evening. Kallinen said the driver of the pickup was taken to the hospital by an ambulance while the other driver got a ride from a private party.

Kallinen said there appeared to be no passengers in either car.

A Grand Forks County Sheriff's deputy and Grand Forks police officer were directing traffic at the intersection.
