GRAND FORKS, ND (WDAZ-TV) - President Donald Trump has received some criticism throughout his election and presidency so far for his use of Twitter and refusal to give up his personal Twitter handle.
Tuesday night Trump again set Twitter on fire, but not something he tweeted.
Said UND Political Science Professor, Bo Wood, "In some ways the tweets and things has undercut him. Some segement of the electorate sees it as kind of petty and not presidential."
But it was students in Professor Bo Wood's political science class Tweeting back at President Trump tonight. And, of course, Twitter users from across the country.
Moments that had the internet buzzing were First Lady, Melania Trump's entrance. Twitter erupted over her looks and what she was wearing.
Fashion was a trend as Twitter was quick to point out that the President opted for a blue tie as opposed to his usual red. Vice President Mike Pence and Speaker Paul Ryan were also caught wearing blue ties.
And arguably the most contoversial moments of the night, at least according to the internet, were when the President talked about repealing Obamacare, and his notorious wall.
"We will soon begin the construction of a great wall along out southern border," the President said.
President Trump's speech was 4,825 words in length, pretty average in comparison to other congressional speeches. If you want to check it our for yourself, click here.
One thing the internet was most impressed with was the President's ability to stay on track Tuesday night.
