Severe Weather Possible Late Wednesday
Warm and moist air will usher into the area today. Late in the day a cold front will sweep across central and eastern North Dakota. This front will likely spark thunderstorms.
Some of these look to become strong to severe producing large hail and strong damaging winds. The tornado threat will be on the low end, but a few t'storms producing isolated tornadoes can't be ruled out.
Storm Prediction Center has a big part of North Dakota and Minnesota are in the slight risk for severe storms. Central and east central North Dakota also has an enhanced risk for severe storms.
The timing of the storms has been tricky, but I'm thinking storms will fire up at first in central North Dakota in the evening and spread east to the Valley by late evening and early night. Storms look to continue into Minnesota during the night and should be out of our area by early tomorrow morning.
