Roger Maris' grandkids learn about legendary grandpa through charity golf tournament
Fargo, ND - Roger Maris's grandkids didn't get the chance to watch him play in the Yankee pinstripes, they only know from old highlights, stories and what they see in the movie 61.
Every year they learn a little more as the families make the trip up for the annual Maris charity and celebrity golf weekend.
The tournament is in it's 33rd year and has raised nearly $2 million to date.
For two of the grandkids, Richie and Grant, Fargo and NDSU have been home in recent years and they say they've learned even more than they could've imagined about grandpa.
