Boys Basketball: West Fargo storms past Central, Sheyenne rallies to beat South
WDAY/WDAZ TV - After its first loss of the season on Tuesday, West Fargo had to bounce back for the first time this season.
The Packers answered the bell and then some beating Grand Forks Central 81-51 Saturday afternoon.
Fourth ranked West Fargo moves to 10-1 with the win.
Across town, it was a tale of two halves between Fargo South and West Fargo Sheyenne.
The Mustangs erased a 15-point deficit in the second half to force overtime. In the extra session, Sheyenne pulled away to win 87-80.
Sheyenne senior Zach Westphal had a game-high 34 points and went 17-of-17 from the free throw line.
Sophmore Blake Berg scored 17 points for Mustangs. Sam O'Keefe had 25 for the Bruins in the loss.
Sheyenne stretches its win streak to three games and improves to 10-2.
