Central holds off Century to repeat as boys hockey state champions
GRAND FORKS - For the second straight season, the Grand Forks Central boys hockey team is atop of the state.
The Knights beat Bismarck Century 4-2 to win the program's 27th title.
Central goaltender Kaleb Johnson has been rock solid the last two weeks. Johnson had a 284 minute shut out streak until Patriots Casey Foss scored with four minutes left in the second period of the championship game.
Johnson had 27 saves in the championship game and was named Most Valuable Player of the state tournament.
