Adam Ladwig joined WDAZ as the Devils Lake bureau reporter in January, 2012. Prior to that he reported for KDUH-TV in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Adam has won multiple awards during his time at WDAZ, including an Eric Sevareid award and a Regional Emmy Award as part of team coverage during the search for Anthony Kuznia. A Colorado native, Adam graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Journalism. He misses the Rocky Mountains, but the kind people of North Dakota more than make up for that. He is thrilled to be in the Lake Region, telling stories that matter. In his spare time, Adam is usually futilely attempting to get in shape, or cheering for his beloved Denver Broncos.

Devils Lake, ND (WDAZ TV) - Agriculture students at Lake Region State College spent the day picking potatoes from a student-run garden. These crops aren't simply helping students learn the art of agriculture, but they're also helping people eat in the Lake Region Community. Devils Lake, ND (WDAZ TV) - A Devils Lake Food Pantry is ramping up its fundraising efforts. The end of the year is always the busiest time for the Hope Center. Workers are planning ahead to keep up with the need in the Lake Region. The Christian Motorcycle Association will take off tomorrow morning for the Ride for Hope, benefiting the Devils Lake Hope Center.
Langdon, ND (WDAZ TV) - A story spanning nearly a thousand miles. A Langdon High School class ring showed up in a pile of dirt in Oklahoma. Local teachers were able to track down the ring's owner, more than 30 years after he graduated. Teachers in Langdon say they couldn't have done it 15 years ago. But using the magic of social media, they were able to reunite the ring with its owner almost instantly from four states away. A unique message popped up on the Langdon Area School Facebook page Monday night.
Devils Lake, ND (WDAZ TV) - Lake Region Search and Rescue is hoping to be rescued itself. After being forced out of their facility, crews are reaching out for help to build a new home. Devils Lake, ND (WDAZ TV) - A 30-year employee of Ramsey County was forced out today after allegations of harassment and threats against another employee. The conflict surrounding the county tax director has been brewing for almost a year, but a confrontation this week forced county commissioners to respond. The county commission accused Jerry Retzlaff of bullying, and insubordination. Today they said, after 30 years of service with the county, he had to go.
